The Royal Commission for Riyadh City announced the completion of the main network for “Riyadh Buses” as part of the King Abdulaziz Public Transport Project in Riyadh.

With the completion of the main network for “Riyadh Buses,” the total number of routes reaches 54, served by 679 buses and 2,145 stations and stops.

The “Riyadh Buses” app provides a unique experience for users by offering an easy journey, allowing them to make full use of the available services and enjoy a comfortable and convenient ride. The app enables users to plan their trips, know departure points, view routes and trip times easily through the “Choose Your Destination” feature, and track their trip using the “Track Your Route” interactive map. This provides accurate information about the trips and their details, along with the ability to purchase tickets via the “Buy Your Ticket” feature. These advanced features ensure the provision of accurate and convenient information for users, contributing to enhancing the public transport experience in Riyadh.

In addition to the other services and features available in the app, passengers can pay for their fare digitally using the digital payment device available inside the buses. This service provides an integrated and user-friendly travel experience. Additionally, the “Riyadh Buses” website offers a variety of options for passengers to view bus routes and learn how to buy tickets. The “Darb Card” service allows easy payment for the bus fare, and the card can be purchased through ticket vending machines or sales offices at Riyadh bus stations.

The King Abdulaziz Public Transport Project in Riyadh includes the implementation of an integrated network of trains and buses, designed to meet the current and future transportation needs of the city. It contributes to the development of the economic infrastructure and enhances Riyadh’s competitiveness in various fields, solidifying its position as a key economic and tourist destination. The project aims to operate an advanced public transport network using the latest technologies, with 87 bus routes, including 54 routes forming the main network for “Riyadh Buses,” along with 33 feeder routes for the “Riyadh Metro,” more than 2,900 stations and stops serving passengers through over 800 buses, covering a total length of 1,900 km. It also includes 6 metro routes and 84 metro stations distributed across the city’s neighborhoods, serving as the main transportation method for passengers throughout Riyadh.
