The Royal Commission for Riyadh City participated in the 26th edition of the World Energy Congress, a global gathering of government leaders, the private sector, experts, non-governmental organizations, and companies, held from April 22 to 25 in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
The conference marked a key turning point in the global energy ecosystem since the historic COP28 conference, continuing to highlight the power of joint efforts and the need for intensified cooperation, as countries engage in discussions and preparations for a global transition to renewable energy sources.
The delegation from the Royal Commission for Riyadh City included representatives from Riyadh Green, King Salman Park, and the Sports Track. The delegation took part in various activities at the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s pavilion during the World Energy Congress.

The delegation showcased Riyadh’s transformation into a sustainable city for the future and presented the initiatives and projects that focus on sustainability in all sectors, including energy and water consumption, mobility, waste management, urban green spaces, natural area conservation, and carbon emission reduction.
The World Energy Congress, in its 26th edition, is one of the oldest and most significant events related to global energy. It brings together over 200 speakers, including senior officials and specialists, along with more than 70 ministers from various countries, and over 7,000 participants from international energy stakeholders.
